The WPHL 10pm news from 2001, when they were still producing the newscast themselves (nowadays it's outsourced to WCAU). This was from the period where they were doing an hour at 10 - this was a disaster and they were back to just 30 minutes after a year or two. The promo at the beginning - which aired before the credits, I didn't edit anything - reflects this.
This particular open and graphics were adopted in 2000. It's all aerial shots, remniscent of WPIX's then-current look (I think there might be a shot in this open that is lifted from that one), tied together with a unique purple scheme.
And yes, they were actually calling the newscasts "Philadelphia's WB17 News" at this point.
