Marshall Mathers also known as Eminem had an extremely impressive three album run from the years 1999-2002 with The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP & The Eminem Show all under his belt. The year is now 2004 Two years have passed since The Eminem Show hit record stores and ipod's all around the world meaning critics, fans and everyone in-between were awaiting his fourth studio album to hit the streets...to say there was an expectation of sorts would be an understatement, whatever it was to come next...well people expected the quality to be on par with his last three records which is fair enough! As time went along Em was getting ready for the role out of 'Encore' when unfortunately four songs off the project got leaked to the public...it's not confirmed as to what these songs were at the time but "We As Americans" & "Love You More" were found on a loose CD by Nate (Eminem's younger brother) and gave it to one of his friends to check it out which subsequently became leaks. Due to all this Em flew out to LA, got Dre and recorded new ones, he claims he was in a room by himself writing songs in 25, 30 minutes as they "had to get it done" the end result being the much goofier takes on the album, "Rain Man" & "Big Weenie" are two examples he gave. He even said himself if those other songs never leaked 'Encore' would be a completely different album. So this whole concept came from the thought process of what Encore would've been if nothing was leaked and the project came out as it was originally intended to, so with both material from the offical release and unreleased material from the time frame of 03-04 i've constructed what i've decided to call.
