1991 finds Walt Disney World celebrating its 20th Anniversary with two parades on Christmas Day. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade is at Disney MGM Studios, and from The Magic Kingdom, it’s the all new 20th Anniversary Surprise Celebration Parade.
The Christmas Morning Celebration is co-hosted by Joan Lunden and Regis Philbin with special guest, Mayim Bialik from Blossom. Regis takes us backstage for a look at the latest Disney nighttime spectacular, Spectro Magic. At Disneyland, we get a look at Mickey’s Nutcracker, and Lee Greenwood and Sandi Patti perform at EPCOT Center. The Disney Girls take us on a tour of Disney’s uniquely themed resorts including the latest Dixie Landing and Dixie Vacation Club. We get a backstage look at the new Euro Disney Park being built in France, and then we head to Tokyo Disneyland for a special Christmas performance.
