Jallaludin Mohommad (Akbar), inherited the Mughal empire of Humayan from his father at the age of 13, after the latter's death.
Raised and trained by Bairam Khan, his father's supreme commander, he became in their image: uncompromising, harsh, hard and heartless... and proud of each of these facets of his personality, the only thing Akbar learned is to expand his empire - at the cost of the lives of others - at the cost of emotions - at the cost of love - a word he has never known.
