This session focuses on the LabCoP’s Diagnostic Network Optimisation (DNO) sub-community of practice (Sub-CoP). The DNO SubCoP intends to promote data-driven investments for effective laboratory networks optimisation, by gathering country teams and stakeholders who share challenges, solutions, and best practices on optimising their diagnostic networks.
In this session, the Global Fund provided a brief overview of:
• The Global Fund funding cycle
• Priorities for involvement of Lab Directorates in preparing funding request
• Funding for DNO
• How to plan the DNO lifecycle across multiple Global Fund funding cycles
We also shared the experiences from Gabon on conducting basic analysis of the TB GeneXpert laboratories network, to provide evidence and allow for the scale up of COVID-19 testing capacity as part of the country Global Fund CRM-19 grant application.
Presenters:
• Patrick Royle, Project Manager, Lab Systems & Health Security Strategic Initiative, Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) TAP, Global Fund
