God knows everything and he will give you the right thing, don’t ask God anything. If you do not ask nothing is going to come. There is a great saying in the Bible “Those who have not ask not.” I haven’t seen anywhere a profound statement like this. You may come and say “No, I have asked many times.” That’s not true. But nothing has happened. But you have not asked from the depth of your heart. From a long time we have been trained both in Western and Eastern religions in the concept that to have not is to be divine or spiritual. That’s why many people in the world have created scarcity. Scarcity somehow came to be associated with God, abundance with evil. That’s the problem. This thought should be changed collectively. Until we change this thought pattern life is going to be very, very difficult. After I move to the United States, -I didn’t come back to India for a long time and after I came back I just wanted to teach prosperity techniques to these people. This is an area where I met with failure. I could not successfully communicate with the people in this country. I can understand why India is poor. By nature people are unwilling to accept that things would change. They are not even willing to experiment whether or not these techniques work. The same thing with Africa too; they truly ask not. When you go to bed, ask. When you wake up in the morning, ask. Prayer is just asking. ‘Ask’ itself is a mantra. Don’t think that the mantras are only in Sanskrit. The word ‘Ask’ is a mantra. It’s a very, very powerful word. So, ask. Go and ask whoever you pray to. ‘Ask and thy shall be given’ not thou. Don’t philosophize; just go and ask what you want to ask. You should ask out aloud. When you are by yourself, ask out aloud. Ask “I want this financial freedom.” Don’t keep anything vague. Put everything in black and white. Don’t compromise until you get it. The moment you compromise, it’s okay if it happens, it’s okay if it doesn’t happen, then you are leaving things to be decided by forces outside of you. As far as you are concerned you must say “I need this.” Owner of this property just came to see me. He used to come and take me out to the beach for walking, -I used to stay there for a month or so. Miracles happened. He now owns 60% of these 25 resorts. Don’t ask me how. It just took place. I know what was behind it. What was behind it was his love for this property. He didn’t have property in Chennai; he has others in the city, but not here on the beach. The manifestation of this was another miracle. Anything can happen, anytime. You are missing your opportunity all the time by living in the past. To me, living in the present or in the now is to be in the domain of probabilities. He went and asked his father; father said “Where are you going?” “To the United States.” “What?” First when he said the United States, “Good luck.” “Do you have the money to go?” He said “No, I don’t.” But he said ‘But you have the money.” But the father said “I am not giving you money for you to go to the United States and blow it. He quickly responded to his father “Who knows dad? Tomorrow you may change your mind and give me the money.” The following morning the father called him, “Here is the money, go to the United States.” That’s what it is. People come and complain to me that the husband is not giving me the money after the divorce. He is giving me a hard time, and I tell them “He will give.” The moment I say “He will give,” there will definitely be an out of court settlement and this guy would give more money than the guy would have given. You must say things with such faith, with no doubt at all, then it will happen. It is impossible for human beings to live that state of intense faith. That’s why they often say in Christianity “You bring in the name of Jesus.” They say “In the name of Jesus I want this to happen, I want this healing to take place.” All the prayers are done in the name of Christ.
