My question of the day is: if RV had 1 representative song to describe their signature sound, would it be this one? I’m asking because everything leads me to believe this is almost like a perfect condensed version of their whole journey as a group? This song and MV, lyrics etc incorporate so many of their past songs, elements that appeared in their MV, their lore etc! The chorus reminded me a lot of their earlier stuff too and all that really makes me believe that this could possibly the perfect summary to their career as a group. Which is also why I said that if this is your introduction to RV, well good luck trying to make sense of whatever is going on here lol Ngl, it is hard to unpack everything that is going on here in this MV and that’s also why I think the first listening left me questioning whether I liked the song or not but like many of their more recent songs, it always takes me a little while for the song to grow on me; this time, it took me approximately 5 mins! Their ad libs are seriously untouchable, their vocals equally so and their visuals!? They’re all aging like fine wine but how do they look SO GOOD?! Especially Wendy ugh! Anyway, I absolutely loved watching the MV and trying to find what is connected to what, who they’re fighting etc. So from what I gathered, the gingerbread man didn’t let them join the party so they came back for revenge and destroyed his house, fought him and won and then held the party with the villains they encountered during that journey of theirs?!
