Zehra Nigah - زہرہ نگاہ
زہرہ نگاہ پاکستان کی معروف شاعرہ، ڈرامہ نگار اور سکرپٹ رائٹر ہیں۔ وہ کئی ٹیلی ویژن سیریل لکھ چکی ہیں۔ وہ 14 مئی 1935 کو حیدرآباد، ہندوستان میں پیدا ہوئیں اور 1947 میں تقسیم ہند کے دوران اپنے والدین کے ساتھ پاکستان ہجرت کر کے کراچی میں بس گئیں۔ان کا تعلق حیدرآباد دکن کے ایک علمی گھرانے سے تھا۔ اس کے والد ایک سرکاری ملازم تھے اور شاعری میں دلچسپی رکھتے تھے۔ زہرہ کی بڑی بہن فاطمہ ثریا بجیا بھی ایک بہترین ڈرامہ رائٹر ہیں۔ ان کے ایک بھائی، انور مقصود، ایک ہمہ گیر طنز نگار اور عوامی مقرر ہیں اور دوسرے بھائی، احمد مقصود حکومت سندھ کے سیکریٹری تھے۔ زہرہ نے ماجد علی سے شادی کی، جو ایک سرکاری ملازم تھے اور صوفی شاعری میں دلچسپی رکھتے تھے۔ انہیں اپنے ادبی کاموں کے اعتراف میں پرائیڈ آف پرفارمنس سمیت مختلف ایوارڈز بھی مل چکے ہیں۔
Zehra Nigah is an Urdu poet, playwright and scriptwriter of Pakistan. She has written several television serials. She was born on 14th May, 1935 in Hyderabad, India and migrated to Pakistan with her parents during the partition in 1947. She belonged to a scholarly family of Hyderabad Deccan. Her father was a civil servant with an interest in poetry. Zehra's elder sister, Fatima Surayya Bajia, is also a great drama writer. One of her brothers, Anwar Maqsood, is a versatile satirist and public speaker and another brother, Ahmad Maqsood was Secretary to the Government of Sindh. She married Majid Ali, who was a civil servant and had interest in Sufi poetry. She has also received various awards including Pride of Performance in recognition of her literary works.
