Paul Gilroy's work on post colonialism is a cornerstone to media studies representation theory, and looks at how British and non-British ethnicities are represented in the media. This includes postcolonial Melancolia, and ethnic othering of other ethnicities. This makes up one of the Media Studies theories that meed to be revised for any specification.
