In this video we fish a Club Competition at Arabie Dam with Clearwater Bass Masters. This competition was a 2 day event. 06:00 - 17:00 on Saturday and 06:00 - 12:00 on Sunday.
Saturday was a tough day. It was EXTREMELY hot, there was no wind and fishing was so uncomfortable with those conditions. The guys up the river seemed to have done really well on both Saturday and Sunday but, we don't really know the river so we decided to stick with what we know.
I managed to get my 5 fish limit on Saturday weighing in at 3,47Kg. My dad managed 3 fish and weighed in at 3,02Kg. This put us 8th and 10th respectively for the day.
Sunday morning greeted us with a beautiful sunrise and stunning conditions for fishing! Unfortunately, the Bass didn't think so! We had an even slower start to Sunday! By 10:00, I hadn't even had one fish on the boat. My dad was picking them off slowly throughout the morning, but I couldn't figure them out!
However, the action was kick-started by an acrobatic Asian Carp who decided to say 'Howzit' up close and personal! Shortly after this exciting greeting, I finally got my first fish on the boat, breaking my Arabie PB at 1.71Kg!!!
The action didn't stop there as I managed to get my 3 fish limit before 11:30 and, ended up winning the day with 4,04Kg!
My dad weighed his 3 fish at 1,53Kg, putting him 7th for the day!
Overall I placed 3rd for the weekend and secured my first podium in bass angling!!!
