Imagine living on a tiny island and being surrounded by snow and ice for four months. ⛵️ We took a ferry to Haapasaari, an island in the Gulf of Finland, to find out how is the normal life there. The only permanent residents are two shopkeepers of the smallest independent cooperative store in Finland. For them, the island was a dream come true. 🛟⚓️
But how can there be a store on a lonely island? The answer might lie in the island's history, which keeps bringing people back.
