Beyond the Canvas is a show about art and the artists behind it. Because when we look at a painting, we often don't realize how many different thoughts and hours of painful work are concealed behind each stroke. We feel the right to judge it, without realizing that what we're judging are not just colors on a canvas, but a piece of somebody's life; somebody brave enough to expose their soul and reveal their vulnerabilities. Somebody who doesn't see art as an object, but as a living thing.
Meet the minds of five artists: Phil Hale, Jeremy Mann, Alberto Mielgo, Nadezda, and Karla Ortiz. Such meetings of the mind always open up new thoughts, new processes, new ways of thinking.
