Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE. #friedrice #asianfood #chickenfriedrice #shorts #foodshorts Recipe: Cooked Rice - Oven Style - 2 cups of Jasmine Rice - 3 Cups of water - 2 Tablespoons of butter - Non-Stick spray Instructions for Cooking Rice: -Preheat oven to 375 F degrees -Boil water for rice -Spray non-stick spray on all inside surfaces of bakeware -Measure 2 cups of rice and add to baking dish - Pour boiling water over rice, and level rice with spatula - Cover with tin foil and put into hot oven - Set a timer for 35 minutes - Place rice on top of stove and uncover rice. Check to see if rice is cooked - Stir rice loose from all the sides - Place uncovered in the refrigerator to cool. (you can use the same pan or transfer to sheet pan Chinese 11 Spice - 1 Tbsp Adobo or 1 Tbsp of Granulated Garlic - 1/2 tsp Accent or Msg - 2 Tbsp Kosher or Sea Salt - 1 tsp Peppercorn medley - 1/2 tsp ground Coriander - 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon - 1 tsp Chili powder - 1/2 tsp ground Cumin - 1/8 tsp ground Cloves - 1 tsp dried Basil - 1 tsp ground Ginger ***(Don't worry you don't actually taste pure cinnamon in this mix. Cinnamon is very common in Asian and Southeast Asian dishes Instructions: Blend all the spices together in a blender or robot coupe. FRIED RICE (Chicken) serves 2 - 10 - 14 oz. cooked Chicken Thighs or Breast, sliced or diced - 2 cups of cooked Rice (Jasmine) - 1/2 cup of cooked Peas - 1/2 cup of cooked sliced Carrots - 1/2 dice Onions - 3 Tablespoons of minced Garlic - 2 scrambled eggs - 1 Tablespoon of Chinese 11 Spice or use Chinese 5 spice - 3 Tablespoons of Soy sauce - 1 Tablespoon of Teriyaki - 1 tsp Sesame Oil or Toasted Sesame oil Instructions: - Heat Wok over high heat. Once pan is smoking slightly, add 2 Tbsp of neutral oil (canola, corn, vegetable or peanut) - Cook scrambled eggs then set aside - Cook Chicken then set aside - Add diced onions and Sautee for 1 minute - Add Garlic and a couple splashes of soy sauce, Sautee for 30 seconds ( Don't burn the Garlic ) - Add Peas & Carrots Sautee for 1 minute - Add 1/2 Tbsp of chinese 11 spice - Add Sesame oil - Add Cooked Chicken Sautee for 1 minute - Add 4 Tbsp of butter, melt - Add 2 cups of cooked Rice, Sautee for 3 minutes - This part of the process that you get that fried rice effect - Add 3 Tbsp of Soy sauce & 1 Tbsp of Teriyaki - Lastly add cooked scrambled eggs back into the pan - Sautee for 2 minutes. Serve. Enjoy.
