Sufia. Victim of child marriage. Born in a very poor family. Faced many obstacles in her childhood . She got divorce just one year after marriage. After a few months, she got married again to the former husband. According to Shariah law she has to marry different one to marry the previous Husband. Which is called "Hilla Biye" in Bangla. At one stage she was able to change his fate with the help of various NGOs like BRAC, Nijera Kori etc. She was elected twice as a UP member . She stopped child marriage in her area and also play admirable role in social development. In 2005, she was nominated for the Nobel Prize by the Swedish Nobel Academy. Sufia's life story came up in Branding Bangladesh program. Which will be an inspiration for many.
