At least 190 men have undergone the prepex circumcision method which requires no surgery. Doctors say the new method now being tested on a pilot project in Mukono District is three times cheaper and less painful. In East Africa, Prepex circumcision was first tested in neighboring Rwanda and it is hoped more men will take advantage of it. Research shows that male medical circumcision reduces the possibility of HIV infection by over 60 percent. Sudhir Byaruhanga has that report.
