Many parents and grandparents will be familiar - all too familiar with the cartoon character Peppa Pig. Even Boris Johnson’s a fan, marking two prime ministers reportedly with an interest in pigs. But it’s not for everyone. American parents have been complaining that it’s been making their children very rude. Peppa is rude, bossy, a tattletale and much more.
Kayla Tychen, a 'momfluencer', says that “we know that children are absorbing the world around them, and they’re absorbing the attitudes of the shows around them - Peppa is rude and disrespectful, and that’s not something we watch in my home."
US Showbiz Correspondent, Caroline Feraday’s daughter is six, “nothing disappoints me more then her not being interested in Peppa Pig anymore.
“There was an episode where all the kids were playing as countries in the world. They go out to the playground and that wry voiceover says “the United Kingdom is on the slide."
