As you guys know, it's Abbey's favorite food ever and thought this would be fun to film the process (which it was). Check out Abbey's recipe for this below: RECIPE: Ingredients: 1 bowl full of mung daal mixed with chana daal 3-4 cloves of garlic 1/2 of an onion Thumb size of ginger Tomatoes (either 1/2 of a can, or 2 small fresh tomatoes) 4 Green chillis First wash the lentils as shown in the video, and place them in the pressure cooker, adding plenty of water for them to soak whilst cooking. Then add 1/4 of a teaspoon of red chilli powder, 1/4 of a teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of tumeric, and 2 green chillis that have been grinded. Put this on the stove to cook for around 20 minutes. Whilst this cooks, get a frying pan and put enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan, add to this a pinch of jeera (cumin seeds) and 2 bay leaves to heat. Grind the ginger, garlic, and onion, and add this to the jeera once they start to darken (meaning the pan should be very hot). Then grind tomatoes, and 2 more green chillis together, and add this to the onion mix. Into this mix also add just over half of a teaspoon of garam masala, one large pinch of kasoori methi, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of tumeric powder, and stir. Once this has turned into a darker colour remove from heat. Then, add to daal that has been cooking in the pressure cooker, and add coriander and salt to taste (I usually use around 2 teaspoons). Stir well and leave to sit for around 30 minutes for flavour to develop, and you are done! More to come, so please stay tuned. Thank you so much for watching and continuing to support our channel.
