"I had a friend who introduced me to the poetry and various poets, then I realised that I can also write. As I am from Dehradun, most of my family members were in the military, they also wanted me to join the military, however, I chose writing as my career. Shankar Jai Krishan gave me my first break and I wrote 'Geet Gata Hoon Mein... Gungoonata Hoon Mein... Mene Hasne Ka Wada Kia Tha Kabhi...' for the movie 'Lal Patthar'...
