Jay jug chaaray aarja hor dasoonee ho-ay

Naavaa khanda vich jaanee-ai naal chalai sabh ko-ay
Et m^me si vous étiez connu sur les neuf continents et suivi de tous
And even if you were known througthout the nine continents and followed by all
Changa naa-o rakhaa-ay kai jas keerat jag lay-ay
Avec un nom honorable et que vos louanges étaient étendues partout dans le monde
With an honorable name and that your praises were spread throughout the world
Jay tis nadar na aavee ta vaat na puchai kay
Cependant, si le Seigneur ne vous bénit pas avec son regard de grâce, alors qui s'en soucie
However, if the Lord doesn't bless you with the glance of grace, then how care
Keetaa andar keet kar dosee dos dharay
Parmi les vers vous seriez considéré comme un vers humble et même des pêcheurs méprisables vous mépriserait
Amoung worms, you would be considered a lowly worm and even contemptible sinners would hold you in comtempt
Nanak nirgun gun karay gunvanti-aa gun day
Ô Nanak, Dieu bénit les indignes avec la vertu rt augmente la vertu au vertueux
Ô Nanak, God blesses the unworthy with virtue and bestows on the virtuous
Tayhaa ko-ay na sujh-ee je tis gun ko-ay karay.
Personne ne peut même imaginer quelqu'un qui puisse accorder la vertu au indigne et donner plus au vertueux.
No one can imagine anyone who can give virtue to the unworthy and give more to the virtuous.
