Red Ink Awards 2017:
Lifetime Achievement Award to Vinod Dua for extensive & versatile contribution to Journalism across forms & formats.
The award was handed over by Kumar Ketkar, President, Mumbai Press Club & Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, Hon. Chief Minishter of Maharashtra.
- Dua, a pioneer in TV journalism was the country's first psephologists, co-anchoring election analysis programmes alongside Dr. Prannoy Roy on Doordarshan.
- Anchored 'Janvani' (People's Voice) in 1985 bringing ministers directly accountable to common people on his shows.
- The first to produce a talk show on Zee TV with 'Chakravyuha' in 1992
- Served as editor of the Hindi 'Newstrack' the first video magazine in the country from the India Today Group & als Editor of NDTV India
He continues to be an active journalist today.
